We have an opening for an experienced Financial Account to join our team on an 8 month maternity contract to support our Finance team.  This role is based in our Geelong Head Office with hybrid working opportunities available.  

About the role 
This role is a key role in the finance team and is responsible for internal reporting including results and Cost Centre reporting, working closely with internal stakeholders, and ledger maintenance.  
Leveraging experience in reporting, cost analysis, accounts payable and fixed assets, the Financial Accountant will be the key preparer of results internally and work closely with finance business partners to deliver excellence in reporting to key decision makers.
About you 
As the successful candidate you’ll bring the following skills and experiences:
Mandatory
•    Bachelor’s degree or Higher in Accounting/Commerce or related area
•    Membership of CAANZ and/or CCPA or nearing completion
•    Experience demonstrated in a similar role 
•    Experience in financial reporting 
•    Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to confidently deal with a variety of stakeholders.
•    Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and meet multiple deadlines, using initiative to prioritise
•    Proficiency in Microsoft Office particularly in the use of Excel, Word, Outlook 

Highly desirable 
•    Experience in a relevant sector such as Private Health Insurance, Health, Retail or FMCG 
•    Experience with other taxes such as GST & FBT
•    Experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP 
•    Experience practically applying Australian accounting standards and/or preparing annual reports
