General Practioners (VR) - Belmont Hub or South Barwon Medical Clinic

We have opportunities for VR GPs to join our growing community medical care practice, at a choice of our newest location at Belmont Hub or South Barwon Medical Centre our longstanding family practice.

In 2024 GMHBA will celebrate 90 years of operations, having originally formed to provide healthcare to Geelong cement workers and growing to become one of Australia’s largest regionally based health insurers. Our Health Hub co-located with Belmont community Care Chemist providing greater access to dental care and medical and physiotherapy services. 

South Barwon Medical Centre has provided quality medical care to the local community for over forty years and is committed to ensuring patients are treated in a professional and caring manner. We have patient access to on-site comprehensive medical and allied health services, Pathology and Practice Nurses to assist with procedures, immunizations, chronic disease management, and home-based Health Assessments.

Belmont is a thriving suburb just 10 minutes’ drive from the Geelong CBD and a direct 45-minute commute from Melbourne’s West with easy access to the stunning beaches of the Surf Coast, the urban heart of Geelong, and a wide range of excellent educational facilities and accommodation options 

Our practice hours of operation are open Monday to Friday 8:30am – 6:00pm, and Saturday 8:30am – 11:30pm. Competitive remuneration, with 65% of billings on most services.

Our team of General Practitioners, nurses and reception staff are committed to personal, holistic healthcare, and placing importance on preventative medicine.  GMHBA and our General Practitioners are strong advocates of evidence-based, patient-centered integrated care and are strongly committed to continuing medical education. You’ll share in our philosophy and work alongside health experts who are genuinely passionate about putting our members and patients first.
